Privacy policy

SATURN SA processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and Romanian legislation. This policy explains what data we collect through https://www.saturn-alba.ro and in our business activity, why, for how long, and what rights you have.

1. Data controller

SATURN SA owns the website https://www.saturn-alba.ro, which is hosted locally on infrastructure operated by SATURN SA.

2. What we process, why and for how long
  • Website visitors: (a) technical server logs (IP address, date and time, pages requested, browser type), for the security and proper functioning of the site; legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); retention: up to 90 days. (b) Google Analytics (pseudonymous identifiers, cookies, pages visited, approximate location, device and browser), to measure and improve the site; legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given through the cookie banner; retention: up to 14 months.
  • Enquiries by e-mail or phone: name, company, contact details, content of messages, to answer requests and prepare offers; legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f); retention: for the duration of the business relationship and up to 3 years after the last contact, or longer where required by law.
  • Job applicants: the CV and the data in it, sent to personal@saturn-alba.ro, for recruitment; legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and, for keeping the CV in our database for future vacancies, consent (point (a)); retention: during recruitment and up to 12 months afterwards. You may ask for deletion at any time.
  • Shareholders: identification data, number of shares, voting forms and proxies, to organise general meetings and meet corporate and capital-market obligations; legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)); retention: for the periods required by law.
3. Cookies and Google services

The website uses Google services: Google Analytics (statistics), Google Fonts (fonts loaded from Google servers) and Google Maps (the map on the Contact page). When these load, Google receives your IP address and technical data and may set cookies, under its own policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Data may be transferred to the United States; Google LLC participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the cookie settings and block cookies in your browser. Cookies are used in accordance with Romanian Law No. 506/2004.

4. Recipients

Your data is accessible only to authorised employees of SATURN SA. We may disclose it to: Google (section 3); accountants, auditors and legal advisers; public authorities, courts, police and prosecutors where required by law; the Trade Register, the Financial Supervisory Authority and the market operator, in the case of shareholders. We do not sell personal data and do not disclose it to the media, insurers or other third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

5. Providing data

Providing data is voluntary, but without the data needed for the purposes above we cannot answer your request, process your application or allow you to participate as a shareholder. We do not take decisions based solely on automated processing and do not carry out profiling with legal effects.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure (“right to be forgotten”), restriction of processing, data portability, objection (including to processing based on legitimate interest), the right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing), and the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling.

To exercise them, write to gdpr@saturn-alba.ro or by post to our registered office, to the attention of the data protection contact. A dated and signed request is not required; we may ask you to verify your identity. We reply within one month (extendable by up to two further months for complex requests). If any data about you is inaccurate, please let us know as soon as possible.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), B-dul General Gheorghe Magheru 28–30, sector 1, Bucharest, www.dataprotection.ro, anspdcp@dataprotection.ro, and to apply to the courts.
